Cookie Hall of Fame Cookie Caper
Congratulations to every girl who participated in our first annual Cookie Sale as Girl Scouts Louisiana East. With your help we also were able to send cookies overseas to our active military through our council's "Troops Helping Troops" Gift of Caring program.
This year's Cookie Hall of Fame will induct over 300 girls and will be held on Saturday, June 13 at Camp Marydale. This year’s program will have a mystery theme called the "Cookie Caper." Girls will work together to gather clues and solve the mystery while having fun participating in various activities throughout camp. Each inductee has been mailed an invitation and request to RSVP by Monday, June 7.

Dairy Queen Blizzard time this June and July
Back by popular demand, Girl Scouts and Dairy Queen are teaming together this summer with a special promotion that includes the introduction of the new Girl Scouts Tagalongs® Blizzard Treat as the July Blizzard of the Month and the return of the Girl Scouts Thin Mint Cookie Blizzard in August. Last year the Thin Mint Cookie Blizzard became one of the most popular Blizzards of all time, selling more than 10 million in a one month period!
Troops are encouraged to contact their local Dairy Queen directly to see about scheduling a visit along with a behind-the-scenes tour of the DQ store. They will receive tips from the Dairy Queen owner and operator about how to run a successful business, gain insight into the product development process, and enhance their financial literacy skills while learning how a restaurant makes a profit.
Girl Scout alumnae are invited to the Metairie Dairy Queen on Saturday, August 1, from 2-3 p.m., where we'll indulge in Thin Mint Blizzards!
