Challenge Course
![]() |
The low ropes challenge course is a wonderful activity for teambuilding for Brownie – Ambassador Girl Scouts. It is also a great activity for enrichment workshops for service unit teams to build on their teamwork and problem solving skills. A trained low ropes course facilitator must accompany participants on the course. For more information on becoming a trained low ropes facilitator contact the Adult Development Director or click here for the training schedule.
Course Procedures
Please review all guidelines pertaining to ropes/challenge courses located in Safety-Wise, page 99. The Challenge course is available for Brownies through Ambassador Girl Scouts and registered Girl Scout adults.
- • $10 fee payable to the Council per 3 hour session for use of the ropes/challenge course. This fee includes usage of all needed equipment, but does not include facilitator fees.
- • A facilitator fee of $10 per hour (minimum $40) is paid directly to each facilitator before the session begins.
Troops/groups need to secure their ropes facilitator to complete the course. The Council only has a limited number of certified facilitators and will supply you with a list of names to contact. Individuals (18 and older) interested in learning how to become a trained facilitator, please contact Adult Development Director or click here for the training schedule.
Note: All participants must submit a Ropes/Challenge Course permission form to participate in this program. Participants must wear tennis shoes, and remove all jewelry and loose clothing.
