Girl Scout Brownies - Juniors

Come visit the Discovery Garden for a day of exploration, learning, friendship, and fun! This half-acre interactive garden is part of Longue Vue House and Garden’s national historic site. Girl Scouts may explore the other gardens after the workshop. Girl Scout Brownies will learn about plants and complete all activities to earn the Plant Try-It. Girl Scout Juniors will be able to fulfill several different badge requirements relating to plants and gardens.

When: Saturday, October 1, 2011
Time: Workshops are 8 a.m., 10 a.m., 12:30 p.m., and 2:30 p.m.
Where: Longue Vue House and Gardens, 7 Bamboo Road, New Orleans, LA 70124
Cost: $10 per girl, $4 per adult
Capacity: Minimum 10 /Maximum 25 (girls per workshop)

Deadline: October 1, 2011
Registration: Advance registrations are required and will be accepted through October 1 as long as space is available for the requested workshop time, and payment is made by credit card. If paying by check, Longue Vue must receive registration and payment by September 9 (three weeks before event).

Notes: Plant Try-it Badge is not included but is available in the Girl Scout Shops. Girl Scout uniforms are encouraged.
