Girl Scout Cadettes
Come spend the day with the Lake Pontchartrain Maritime Museum and discover the world of Engineering. This stand alone session brings the pages of the Girl Scout Journey Breathe to the real world and shows how engineering is such an important part of our lives. Explore some interesting facts about engineers and the wide variety of engineering fields available as a career as well as take part in engineering activities. You’ll also be able to explore the Lake Pontchartrain Maritime Museum’s exhibits and interact with some of the museum’s amazing projects.
Where: Lake Pontchartrain Maritime Museum, 133 Mabel Dr., Madisonville, LA 70447.
Cost: $5 per person (includes museum admission and activity materials)
Capacity: Minimum 15/Maximum 50
Registration Opens: Now
Deadline: September 23, 2011 or when maximum capacity is reached.
Registration: Complete the GSLE Program Event Registration form for each troop (including troop roster on back) or individual and fax with credit card payment or mail with check or credit card payment to: Girl Scouts Louisiana East, 841 S. Notes: Due to limited parking, adult participation is limited to GSUSA recommended adult/girl ratios and transportation needs. No tagalongs. Event will be cancelled if registration minimums are not reached. Bring a brown bag lunch and enjoy that at the museum picnic area after the event.
