Description:
Open to all girls 12 – 13 years old

Would you like to “shadow” a WRANGLER as you learn riding skills and obtain knowledge of horses? If you are 12 to 13 and also LOVE horses, come be a part of the Girl Scouts Louisiana East WRANGLER /SPURS Program. You will partner with experienced WRANGLER’s and Adult Riding instructors to teach Western horseback riding and horse care to younger girls during weekend and holiday horse sessions at Camp Marydale. *SPURS will be eligible to advance to WRANGLER when they are 14.

When: Friday, August 24 – Sunday, August 26, 2012
Time: Check in Friday at 6 p.m. Check out Sunday at 2:00 p.m.
Where: GSLE Camp Marydale, St. Francisville, LA
Capacity: Minimum 20/Maximum 100
Fee: $30 per person (girl and adult)-includes 5 meals. Not a Girl Scout – not a problem – the membership fee is only $12.00.

*Wranglers and Spurs will meet at Camp Marydale during “weekends” to get up-to-date information about our horse herd, participate in skill building sessions and interact with horse experts and professional trainers. WRANGLER/SPURS adult volunteers are necessary for this program to succeed – please join!
